Who do you contact if you have invented something and need it to be promoted ?

  Lots of luck. This might be why those infomercials are so popular. I have a friend who is familiar with the patten process and took his fishing related item to a national catalog company - who did not buy it from him, but had a very similar item with their own brand listed in the following year's catalog. Tweak the idea a bit and it is no longer patented. So - if you really believe in this item, you have to have it produced and hire your own promoters. Make a small batch and sell them "door to door" to those that would benefit from the item. There are companies that will charge you to "promote" but will want to be paid even if nothing sells.
