How much does home depot pay hourly for just a regular retail position?

Home Depot Discrimination?

  • I currently work at Home Depot as a Lot Associate, well the position of Pro Loader came open which is similar to my job now, its Full Time and Higher Pay. Well when i asked how to put in for this position i was told i could not get it because i dont speak spanish. To me i feel this is discriminating. I was told if i didnt like it i could call home office and they would tell me the same thing. It shouldnt matter if i speak spanish or not this is AMERICA. Its like saying i cant be a manager because i dont speak spanish. Home depot is supposed to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and this is going against that. I was just wondering who all else things this is discrimination? do you work at home depot and have a non spanish speaking person as a pro loader? just trying to get feed back before i take this to home office.

  • Answer:

I work for Home Depot as well and I'm familiar with the Pro Loader position. Speaking Spanish isn't a requirement by any means necessary. I would call your district HR and if they don't help, call the HR hotline.
