Ebay says my item i purchased has been shipped. But no tracking number?

I purchased an item 4 days ago from a seller on ebay. The following day i received an update email from ebay telling me my item has been shipped. I never received a tracking number for my package though. On the ebay site where it shows your purchases tracking number it has nothing, and I have not received one from the postal company either. I don't understand because it states that my item has been shipped. Please help

you will only get a tracking number if you payed for tracked postage. it will arrive soon, depending on where it was sent from

You will only get a tracking number if the eBay seller stated you'll get one since it costs a little bitt more to add a tracking number to your order. But if it says its been shipped don't worry it'll be arriving soon.

Not all orders come with a tracking number, it depends on the seller and if you payed for postage that includes the service.
