Whats a fast, front wheel drive car?

Im looking for a car, and i want a fast one thats front wheel drive. Preferably if it came stock with a turbo. I can spend ROUGHLY $8000 and i cant seem to find a good car. I'd also like to know some details like what i can add to the car to make it faster (ect.) and if there are any problems with that car. Thanks!
