• hello, my name is james and i am 13, i want to build a go kart (not form scratch), i will be using a ready made frame like a tonykart or tkm frame. i am looking to spend no more than £400 and i would like to know what i should be buying and where to look for them, also where can i find out how to put together a go kart brakes system, how to install an engine etc. etc. thanks!.!.!

  Well James, Good for you, very worthwhile endeavor, but here's how you do it in the US, so I don't know how it works in the UK, find your local club track, because this is where your going to want to drive it anyway, playing with it in the parking lot gets boring fast and in most cases illegal and dangerous, plus these tracks are a wealth of information, and there's always someone out there like me that will be more than willing to help you, in fact I have an older Invader rolling chassis I would be more than willing to sell to an interested kid cheap just to get them started, but if you prefer something new I would have no problem helping you set it up with everything you need, give you driving tips and teach you to work on and maintain it. bring a parent as they will need to sign waiver forms as your still a minor, and yes you'll need to bring money,
