Are bumper stickers a certain type of sticker?

I just got my first car, and I'm looking for lots of band stickers to cover it with. But do I have to use stickers that are specifically called "bumper stickers"? Are they a certain type that adhere better to the surface of a car? Can I use regular stickers, or will they peel off? (Also, if anyone knows a good web source for buying inexpensive band stickers, I'd appreciate it. I'm looking for the classics- Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Allman Brothers, etc.) Thanks in advance!

Any sticker will stick to a car. Bumper stickers are usually vinyl and are a bit easier to peel off.
