  well it appears as if you will explain your actions in front of the judge, Your lucky there was no accident so be glad for that, its up to the judge, your friend is not the one in trouble, you are, His insurance will not go up, But he better think twice about loaning his car out. All it takes is on mistake, SUCH AS RUNNING A RED LIGHT. People often do not realize how fast an accident can happen, literaly in the blink of an eye, that is an expensive ticket too. So I sure hope you learned something, That is a four hundred dollar ticket here, best of luck
