Drift racing age restriction?

this might be a stupid question but... i started learning how to drift a couple months ago, im 15 right now and turning 16 in 6 months so would it be legal for me to go drift racing (on private tracks of course) or do i have to wait for my license? i keep forgetting to ask my instructor... i know this one guy who got cause for illegal drifting when he was 15 on public road and so they suspended him for 3 years before he could get his license but he still is allowed to drift... it think?

call your local track. just don,t forget you need a helmet, fire suit and roll bars.
