    Well, assuming you've taken the permit test to get a permit, you make the appointment and you will either take your own car or the Driver's License Person's car and you will be directed by the passenger who will most likely be the person who grades you on the test. They will direct you basically in a circle and just see if you can follow the traffic laws and drive safe. Try not worry, just take it easy, thats my best advice.

When I took my test, we drove around a long block making right hand turns. The tester is watching to make sure you are signaling/stopping at the light appropriately/ not speeding/ checking in your mirrors/ no radio/etc. Then once we got back to the MVD, he had me do a 3 pt turn.. (drive forward, then back to a 90degree then go back the way i came)...Sometimes they will have you parrellal park. Then I had to park the car in the space correctly not touching the lines on either side.
