How do you build a go kart kit?

Homemade go kart im gonna build?

  • IM BUILDING A GO KART USING A LAWNMOWER ENGINE WHICH IS ABOUT 8-10 HP (HORSEPOWER). HOW MANY MPH WILL MY GO KART GO AND HOW MANY MILES CAN I RIDE IT FOR WITHOUT HAVING TO FILL UP THE ENGINE WITH GAS? ALSO I WANT IT TO GO REALLY FAST SO IF ANYONE KNOWS AN ENGINE THATS BETTER AND FASTER THEN A LAWNMOWERS PLEASE TELL ME. BEST ANSWER 5 STARS!!!

    Lol two chainsaw motors one per rear wheel, info is on the net but not as cheap as lawnmower engine fasten your seat belt!

if you are really serious about going fast i would just buy a full racing kart. these can start at $1300 and go up to incredibly high prices. if that's out of the question try looking for actual go kart engines as these have a built in throttle and horizontal output and are tuned for karting. as for speed you need to make the cart as strong and light as possible. and it's too hard to tell what you would get without weight and power figures. if you're worried about fuel efficiency then making a go kart isn't for you. (if you want to get a go kart motor try looking for a Honda 125 cc kart engine or a Rotax)

I GOT A DOLLAR SAYS YOU GIVE UP AND GO BACK TO PLAYING VIDEO GAMES BEFORE YOU EVEN GET CLOSE TO ACTUALLY BUILDING A GO KART USING A LAWNMOWER ENGINE.

If you want to go fast, then you need an 1100 cc. Kawasaki engine and you could probably attain a speed of 160 mph or better.....Good luck Speed Racer.....
