What is a link wheel? How does it work?

Wanting to make a custom 4 link for my chassis?

  • I've got a couple of chassis in mind for this 4x4 Rock Crawler/Mud Truck but my main problem is in the 4 link...The work isn't a problem, it's the engineering. I plan on running 2.5 ton Rockwell axles front and rear and I'd like to do all wheel steering if possible. I don't know what degrees or lengths I can/should do for the link bars on the 4 link and I don't even know where to start with the all wheel steering. I'm wanting to do 5.9 Cummings diesel engine and I've seen a TON of buggies and trucks with these axles but I don't know how they're making this work with their existing transfer case...If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd more than appreciate it. I'm a welder/fabricator in my professional career so like I said, the work isn't the problem, it's the engineering that's getting me...
