What vehicles have the highest ground clearance and are superior vehicles?

How can I increase my vehicles ground clearance?

  • A 2004 Subaru Legacy Wagon..please don't suggest spacers!!!

  • Answer:

The safest way is with shock extensions which can be found maybe in the form of shock blocks which bolt between the chassis and the strut. The problem with putting in stiffer springs is that shock travel will be more limited, and this affects handling. Bigger tires present clearance problems. But moving the strut assembly down using pillow blocks should work (if you can find them).

Other answers

put stronger coil springs on it and change the struts.

The problem is the front end of a front wheel drive has limited suspension travel, there isn't much to work with. Maybe coil-over shocks, but that will give you a harder ride, also. Coil overs or air shocks in the rear.

Change your tires or your springs

You can increase the size if the wheels, if they fit. Other than that the possibility is none if not remote.
