Why does my car make a buzzing sound when i accelerate?

  • okay i have a 2002 rsx type-s and when i accelerate hard or get on the throttle it makes a weird buzzing/hissing sound kind of like a plastic bag and the wind blowing on it i cant really explain it but its really annoying, i heard it could be like the exhaust heatshield or something like that but im not sure. It only makes the sound when i press the gas pedal all the way to the floor, if i just barely tap the gas you cant hear it

    firstly check your exhaust as you may have an exhaust leak. it could be your mud guards underneath your car loose and vibrating at high speeds

checked all the fluid levels. I can't tell for sure, but it sounds like your engine coolant is low. When it gets too low it will make a noticeable noise going through the heater core.
