How much would an engine swap cost?

How much would it cost to swap this engine?

  • I currently have a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS (6g72), and I was looking to swap the engine out for the 4g's 6g75. Can it fit, and how much would it cost to buy the engine, and have a shop swap it out? Also, could I sell the 6g72 engine, and for how much if I can? Any additional info like websites or guides would help alot.

    A lot of questions .... Was the 6G75 engine available as an option in your car ?? If it was available, then there are factory parts you can use for the swap. If it was not available in your body style, then you're swap just got very complicated, spelled E X S P E N S I V E. Now is where you haffta decide the next step ... Fitting an engine into a front drive car that never came there can certainly be done, but it will COST BIG BUCKS, HUGE BUCKS. Your move ....
