Who can install a turbo in the dallas area?

I'm curious what a good quote is to install headers to my truck? I've been quoted $300, is that fair?

  • I have done all of the other major mods to my Expedition except the headers and before I buy them, just want to make sure or ask what a good quote is to install them? I am in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and have no mechanic that I routinely go to. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    as an ex resident of fort worth arlington area,and a mechanic of twenty something years headers can be head aches,and a cause time consuming re direction of exhaast piping,this causes shorter bends of tube and extra welds,diffrent hanger placements.hope this gives u a sample of some of the examples of their plight they will encounter. It would be parts plus labor = cost so what your saying I would think is right for a charge but by giving or taking in shop labor.The price for installing those parts is right I don't really think you can really get them done any cheaper unless you do them yourself or someone that has a shop you know of that can do it.On some of these headers it can go up even higher but it depends on who what and where.The price all varies anywhere you go to have this [email protected]

It depends on if the exhaust pipes need to be modified at all, or if they will work stock. It also depends on how rusty the maniford bolts are. Seems to me it should only take 1 hour per side, and shop rate about $75/hour, for a total of $150. But places like Midas usually give a reasonable price.
