How long does it take for a mechanic to fix a scratch/slight dent on a door?
-
Somebody scraped the back door/side of my car while I was filling out paperwork at my school today and I was wondering how long it would take for a mechanic to fix something like that. Because I need to drive myself to school and if it takes long, I think I want to wait it out. How long should it take? It's a light black scratch and it's very slightly dented.

Answer:
Auto body men fix dents, not mechanics. Figure two days. The shop has to fix the dent and undercoat the repaired area. Then they will have to wait a day to do the final painting, to allow paint to dry.
