Where can i get cheap decent parts for truck project?

  • Im about to redo the exhaust system in my truck. i have a 95 dodge ram 1500 5.9L v8. i recently had to cut the cat off and i fell in love with it being loud. now i wanna clean up the sound and keep it loud. i was thinkin headers, straight pipes, and maybe a glass pack. im just having trouble finding parts for it this project. and its pissing me off bad lol. if you have any know how or anything please help me out thank you.

    If you live in an emission regulated state... gut the cat and leave it on. And finding exact pipes would deem difficult to find. You may have to actually pay a muffler shop for custom piping if you want it done a specific way.

One time I thought my cat. was stopped up so I cut it out ,took a long pry bar and hammer and knocked all the guts out of it, then mig welded it back in place,this gave my car that throaty sound we gear heads love. My oxygen sensor (O2) was located in the cat so it still functioned.That cat. is worth at least $75 (without guts removed) at the scrap yard .
