Mustang acceleration problem?

2000 mustang transmission ?

  • Hi, my 2000 v6 mustang feels a bit weird for the past couple of weeks. One problem is that I hear a squeaky noise as if something is loose. the sound disappears as soon as press down on the clutch. What could that be? Second, it feels like my acceleration has decreased. Although, my engine still has a deep sound when I am hitting around 3000 rpm, its not as deep as it used to be, also it sounds like i am driving on a light layer of sand on the pavement. I hope this makes some sense. Is there a problem with the transmission or mabe tranny fluid? Please help. Thanks in advance
