What alternator to buy?

I have a nissan versa, i want to replace the alternator with a high output one, do i have to buy a nissan one?

  • will any brand alternator work ? If I but an alternator for a GMC car will it work in a Nissan car ?

    your alternator is probably not a simple one wire job. It probably has a connector specific to nissan. any brand of alternator will work as long as the wiring is correct. like said above, mounting location can be an issue, also a larger alternator will put more drain on the engine.

it may not be nissan but it still has to match your pulley and bolt mounting holes any parts store will supply what you want - a high output alternator for a nissan versa be prepared to gasp at the price
