Why does my tv turn off by itself after a half hour?

Car died on the road. Car wont turn over at least a half hour then dies again when im on the road.?

  • I parked my car early Saturday morning came out a hour later and it wouldnt start it was cranking like it tryed to start buy just wouldnt turn over.I tried it for a half hour and finally started. Later on that day it died in the middle of the street and took a half hour again to get it to turn over. My friend looked at it said its not the spark plugs. Does anyone have a idea what it may be and the cost to have it fixed...its a 2003 nissan sentra..66k miles

  • Answer:

First of all cranking and turning over are considered the same thing. It cranks but doesn't fire or it turns over but doesn't start gets the point accross to a mechanic. You need to see if there is spark when it does not start. When it does not start try hitting the bottom of the gas tank with a baseball bat or 2X4 while someone else cranks the motor over. It may be a fuel pump failing and this is the way to test it. If it starts while hitting the tank, take it straight to a repair shop to get the fuel pump replaced.

if you friend checked and it getting spark i would take a look at your fuel pump and fuel relay

Please read topic below: Most probable cause is the crank position sensor. There is a recall for this car.

1 have battery checked, sounds weired I know but I've seen it happen,or it can be ING. module/ also by having to wait 30 min.can also be in theift system thats how most of them work, they shut either the fuel or electrical systems down for about 30 mins. hope this helps

all ready some good answers on here without much diagnostic info with your question. Id add water in fuel, debris clogging fuel pickup in tank and one additional problem can easily be the electric fuel pump. They can begin to fail reducing avail fuel pressure, hence the hard start, after running for a bit they get warm and fail, usually requiring a little time to cool down, then they work till they get hot again then quit again. Usually you would notice a reduced top end power or stumbling at higher rpm's, pull into a fuel station and add a few gallons of cool fuel and magically it may seem better for a few miles...But at least a dozen other systems on your car could give the symptoms you describe... best of luck

have battery tested,,clean cables cap and rotor system? replace them test coil original plug wires? replace so what did the computer scan say? I assUme the check engine lite is on.."there's ur sign"
