Changing reversing light on a focus?

My battery light comes on in my 2001 ford focus with high voltage readings?

  • A couple of months a go I took my 2001 ford focus to replace the alternator. The ford dealer replaced the alternator and the battery wires. When I took the car the same day I notice that the idle jacks up and the battery light came on again. I have the changing system tested and the battery is ok but the charging system test high voltage no load 15.16v with load 15.18v. I took it back to the dealer and they told me it is my processor. Any ideas please?

  • Answer:

the dealer may have used a rebuilt alternator , there should be a warranty with it I think your alternator has a built in voltage regulator . that is probably bad and thus you will need another alternator
