Where is the fuel pressure regulator on an 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue 3.1 liter engine?

  first of all u need to check this part first to see if it is faulty but it is located at the end of the fuel rail and has one vacuum hose connected to it pull the hose off see if the hose is wet with gas if so replace the fuel regulator it should only pass vacuum not fuel when it passes fuel through it floods ur car causing it to crank several times before it starts and releases black fumes out of the tail pipe!to remove this part it has a ring holding it down at the rim and u will need some sort of ring plyers to remove the ring and replace the o ring as well to ensure proper installation for max performace!
