Where can I get the third party insurance?

Were can i get fully comp insurance to drive any car third party, im 20 years old!! Thanks :D?

  • Well i can't find any insurance companies that offer fully comp were i can drive any car third party for under 25s, im 20 years old, any helps or tips are appriciated :D

  • Answer:

I don't know of an insurance carrier that will issue a stand-alone policy to permit the operation of a motor vehicle, as you put it, third party. Additionally, in that you are under 25 years of age, were there a company that would issue such a policy, the cost would be prohibitive.

What you are looking for is called "DOC" (Driving Other Cars) cover. It's usually available with fully comprehensive insurance but some companies offer it with third party, fire and theft policies. Quinn Direct use to offer DOC to 18 and over but they stopped (due to the high level of claims) and I'm not sure of any others that would offer it to a 20 year old. You might be best trying a broker. Good luck.
