Alberta/BC Drivers licensing?
-
I am a student in BC but have always kept my primary address at home in Alberta where my parents live. I recently got my Class 5 GLD license in Alberta, and have heard that I can transfer my Class 5 GLD to a restriction free BC license. Is this true? I want to apply for a job that asks I have a restriction free BC license or equivalent, could I qualify for that? I don't think I legally have to drive with an N in BC but I am not certain. Thanks for your help!

Answer:
When you exchange your license in BC you will be given the equivalent license to what you had in the province in BC. So if your current license is the equivalent of a 'N' in BC based on restrictions then that is what you will get. If your current license has no restrictions then that is the license you will get in BC.
