Can I get my License early in NC?

Ok I should have my License by now (I'm 16 and will be turning 17 in January) but I waited a long time to get my permit. Here recently I've moved out of my Schools district and its going to be real hard for me to get there (and really don't want to change schools seeing as I only have 2 years to go). I've been driving everyday for several months and I am positive I could pass the test at the DMV for my License but I haven't had my Permit for a year yet. I've heard in some cases like mine of the DMV making an exception and take the test early for situations like mine in other states. I was wondering if this is the case in NC? any help would be really appreciated...
Answer:

I don't think any state would make an exception for a case like that. Normally, they only make exceptions for medical appointments, if you need to go to work to support your family, and the like.
