What can I do with an insurance license?

What can i do if i crashed and i have no license/ insurance? help please.?

  • So I'm 17 and I have a permit from a different state and a couple of weeks ago I took my mom's car without permission to work because I was running late and as I was parking in a rush, I accidentally hit the side of a guy's truck. I was really scared and we agreed that I would pay for the damage done to the guys truck which was minor since i hit the brake on time. He has full cover insurance he just doesn't want to report it because it would make his payments go up (which i offered to pay for but he refused) So he tells me he took it to a couple of auto shops and its gonna be at least $2,500 and I tell him its fine, that i would have the money order ready as long as we both go next week so I can get proof that he's not keeping the money himself and hes using it to repair the damage I did and he tells me that if i wanna start playing these little games to show up with $1,000 more or he's gonna call the cops.. would it be better if I call the police myself? I take full responsibility and understand I will have a fine for wreck less driving, no license, and no insurance. About how much would I be paying? Help please ):

    First thing's first, you have NO RIGHT to tell him what to do with the money. He has nothing to prove to you. You damaged his car, you owe him for those damages. If he wants to wipe his butt with that money, he has every right. You're not paying him for the repairs, you're paying him for the loss. Sorta ballsy for someone driving illegally, don't ya think? Now he's gone and called your bluff. So this is your choice: either pay the man what you owe him, or pay a WHOLE lot more in legal fees, fines and repayments to his insurance company when he turns you in for driving illegally and trying to get out of your responsibilities. Which sounds better to you???

I'm sorry to hear that, I also wen throught something similar but in my case I did have a drivers license but no insurance. I ended up paying for the damage, I payed the other person but I typed up a letter stating that I had payed for the damages of the accident and that I was no longer esponsible and made her sign it. It seems to me like they just want to keep your money, but your going to end up paying either way because of no insurance.

tell him to bring you the estimates....2500 is quite a hit there... and tell him if he insists, that no, we'd better file a police report after all so that his insurance company is aware of the incident and the damages.. make it all legal like/I dont want to get in trouble with the law for not dong the right thing on this. but if you can fork over that kinda money to start with why is there no coverage on your car? thats not too bright on your part there. Tell him you are wililng to pay reasonable costs cuz thats all I can afford to do... and I dont want to over pay/will gladly give him the money, but if you continue to threaten me or try to get more money out of me, then it is cheaper for me to call the police and go thru the process, and let your insurance company contact me and pay them for the charge to do the repairs, even if I get a ticket for no insur. and license..it is cheaper than what you are proposing here, and yes your rates will go up but there is nothing I can do about that. Now how do you want to handle this? We need to do something about it now since so much time has lapsed. see what he does then when you refuse to hand over the money and are willig to call the cops. Why reckless driving? were you drunk? where's that enter into it? was it more than a simple accident?
