How do i find out how many points are on my license?

I believe speeding is 3 points on your liscense. To find your record, contact your local dmv from where you obtained your liscense or place of last 5 years of residence and ask for your driving record. It may be called your driving afirdatim. It is a history of your driving record, all acidents, incidents, everything.

In my state (Indiana), I can go online and get a copy of my driving record that goes back 10 years. It will show all tickets and the number of points for each. It also shows when the points are taken off and the date if resolved. I think the cost is around $10 for this. You may also have this in NC or have to go to the DMV for this info. You will also most likely have to pay a small fee for it. If you go in person, I suggest you not mention of getting a ticket in SC as your reason for checking, but could use an excuse as "I applied for a new job, and they will do a background check which includes my license is valid and any points". Your ticket in SC may never show on your license, but it could creep up months later and then become a part of your record. good luck
