How to prove someone hit you car?

How can I prove a car was moving during a car collision?

  • I was in an collision with someone and the guy says he wasn't driving or even in the car at the time of the collision. I know this isn't so. How can I prove it? I was in the left turn lane and the guy was coming out of an alley and started making a right across two lanes to get into the left turn lane in front of me. My passenger side bumper hit his front driver side fender in front of the front wheel. Is there anything in the damage of either car that could prove that his car was in motion? Scratches? shape of indentation? Anything? Much appreciated.     It is not your duty to prove anything........But..... Why were the police not called? The involved insurance companies will decide on the liability. Have you notified your insurance company like you are supposed to? When you have insurance and you use your insurance, you don't have to play detective. That is their job.

You will need to hire a lawyer, which is expensive. And the lawyer will hire a collision expert who can easily determine if a car was moving at the time of impact. Happend to me in a parking lot. My car wasnt moving and this idiot highscool chick hit my parked car. Then she sued me. I was able to prove that my car was stationary because of the testimony of the collision expert.

i was in a similar situation ; first did an officer take a report then; they are trained to know these things if he didn't find witnesses thru ads and post . but the physics are that there is an inertia difference between hitting a moving car and one sitting there and if he wasn't driving the car the exhaust would have been cold and and officer knows this and the engine would be cold as well challenge this in the report if he is ruling in the other guys favor if your the defendant if there is any doubt at all the judge will rule in your favor he is doing this to avoid an insurance increase.
