Are they going to Repo my car?

Ok.. so I am 2 car payments behind the month of (April,May) I've had the car for a couple years and am just about finished paying it off well the problem is.. I dont know if the dealer has sent any letters about possibly Repo'in my car as it is under my Ex-Bf's name and they did not have my direct address .. i tried contacting my ex with no success... the reason I think they are looking to repo it is obviously I'm behind (which has never happend before) and 4 men in a SUV came to my home yesterday and knocked on the door horribly almost as if they were law enforcement (i know i''m not in trouble with the law) I did not open and remained quiet they eventually left but left no paper work behind.. Idk if this is how they go about gettin a car back but I was terrifed! i didnt know if they were coming to get the car which is outside.. or if they were coming to do something to me!!

It sounds as if you're very close to loosing the car. Whether the car is brand new, or almost paid for doesn't matter. Some lending institution allowed the purchase of the car using their money. And they want it back. Sorry for your dilemma. I had one repossessed too many years ago after missing two payments.

it does not take four people to repo the car, if they were looking for the vehicle it was right there. as to why you are so terrifies someone is trying to hurt you, I suggest you go get some professional help. You live in an apt. it could have been someone looking for a previous tenant. you can ask through the door or call 911 in any case why call the boy friend? you need to contact the lien holder and if it is in your boyfriends name, why are you paying for the car? the title goes automatically to him when its paid off not you. good luck get some help.

contact the loan company and reassure them you will pay or the car might suddenly disappear. hiding will make things worse.
