Do I qualify for a hardship license in Texas?
-
I am 15 years old and will be 16 this December. Both my sister and I live out of bus range for the schools we attend (she's a 6th Grader and Im a 10th Grader.) My mom recently lost her job and is going to college, therefore she cannot take us to and from school if she is in a class. My father works to pay the bills since my mother is in college. If I could drive, my sister and I wouldn't have to worry about finding rides everywhere. Am I eligible?

Answer:
Nope. That's not a hardship. Usually you live "inside" bus range. But if you go to a magnet school, you're still able to ride a bus - you just have to transfer and spend longer on the bus.
