Title deeds in canada?
-
Where are deeds stored and can be accessed for title searches in canada.
-
Answer:
All provinces in Canada (as far as I know) now register all documents related to land titles electronically, so there is no physical deed for an owner to store safely somewhere, like a bank. Anyone can search title on a property at the Land Titles/Land Registry office for the area or you can pay a lawyer or professional tilte searcher to do it for you.
