Do i have to pay for another license?

Do I have to pay a license reinstatement fee if moving out of the state?

  • My driving suspension has been lifted, but I have not yet paid the state's $475 reinstatement fee. I am moving to a different state next week. Do I still have to pay the $475 to get my license in a new state?

  • Answer:

Only if you want to be licensed in the new state. Until your fee is paid, your license isn't valid, and to get a license in the new state you will have to have a valid license to trade in. If you try to lie, and say you were never licensed, they will require social security number and your birth certificate, and will find you haven't paid the fee in the former state and not issue you a license. So, the answer is, yes, yes you do.
