How do you pass your Florida Driver's License test (not Permit)?

Can you get your license without taking a license test if you pass drivers ed?

  • ok so i gotta couple of questions. first of all can you take drivers ed when you're 15 years second i was thinking of getting my learners permit ina couple of days. then i was thinking about doing drivers ed in june. is there a certain period of time that you need yoru permit before you can take drivers ed? also, if i pass drivers ed, will i automatically get my license when i turn 16 which would be in february. or do i have to take another driving test?

    States will not let you apply for a Learners permit until you are 15 1/2 years old. Some States are 16. Drivers Ed does not qualify you to get your license. Almost all States require that you have a Satisfactory Certificate of Completion from a Drivers Education Course before they will allow you to apply for a license. California requires that after you finally get your Learners permit you can only drive a vehicle if you have a Legally Licensed 25 year old in the Car, and you can have no passengers under 20 while you are driving. After you pass finally take your driving test, then for 1 year after that you have a provisional license and still must have a 25 year old with you in order to drive.

There is no state that allows you to get a drivers license without taking a driving test and demonstrating your ability to drive. At this point in time all 50 states, Washington DC and all US territories have graduated licensing schemes in effect that restrict your driving until you are 18. I might suggest though, if you're going to ask a question like that on a world wide site, you might mention location because it can make a difference.
