Car Registration in Queensland?

My car tittle was stolen and registration, what do i do?

• i let a "friend" of mine work on my car b/c he told me he knew how, come to find out he didnt know sh!t about what he was doing. so he sat there and put new rotors and break pads on and it took him 4 days to even give me my keys back. anyways the car was trashed inside, trash, food, beer cans, cigs, oil was everywhere and still reeks! i wasnt paying him anything so i didnt think i should get too worked up about it. day i got it back he still had not put a door handle on which i found out was now jammed and not able to be put on "oh i must have stepped on it, my bad" me=pissed. paint is scraped off the door handle area b/c he was like bagging on something with a tool....didnt do anything but chip the paint and dent it...thanks. day i got the car back one of my girl friends said oh i'll have my neighbor make sure everything is on there right. so my bf and i clean out the car and find my registration and insurance card missing out of the glove box and we call him and ask "oh yea i didnt take that its on the floor" blah blah blah.lie lie lie. not anywhere in the car. anyways my brother who is his friend is a thief and he has done a lot to my mom and i that we got a restraining order on him for. we just got fed up. well he was "helping" fix my car and i thought ok w/e dont let anything get stolen and i took all my valuable things out of the car. my mother drinks at home one night a week and he took advantage and while she was drunk he went in my room and took tobacco and left a beer can in here. no big deal. but then when i clean out my car i figure out the registration is missing. and i go home and figure out the tittle is not here. the new one with my name on it is supposed to come in the mail right? or is that the official registration? anyways i called the police on him b/c he yelled at me on the phone when i asked him about it and he is in jail for a lot of charges that had nothing to do with my tittle. i was just fed up with this sh!t things like this ur family dont usually do to u. the "friend" said he had no idea blah blah but today he texts and says"i might know where they are" yea he might? he knows! he was just trying to cover my brothers *** b/c he is his friend but thats a big deal he was trying to steal my first car. which has cost me a sh!t load b/c i got ripped off for it. anyways what do i do about a stolen tittle and registration? i dont have any more money for this registration cost me 175 and that was way higher than i thought its a little 88 vw golf gti...idk why it cost so much. does my tittle come in the mail with my name on it? or what happens. nobody can help me on this. should i sue this guy for screwing up a lot of things or what? i live in W.A btw thanks

  was the previous title under you and your mom's name? if so there's two options the name can appear on the title for the person to sign: 1) Your name or your moms name - with this you and your mom's name is under the title so either one of you could sign the title without the other persons name 2)You name and your mom's name - you and your mom has to sign the title in order for the title transfer to be complete. BUT since you said that a new title is coming in the mail and going to be under your name, just go straight to DMV and tell them what had happen and im pretty sure they'll give you a new registration print out. but you do need to go and get a copy of your insurance too since you said that also got stolen.. so yea nothing to worry about.
