Bonded title/no title dirtbike?
-
So I bought a dirtbike with no title and decided to try and get th title for it. I went to the local DMV and they signed me up for a bonded title. Thing is that there is a lien on it from 12 years ago. The DMV is having me ask the original owner that had the lien with a bank for the original title via certified mail. So what does that mean to me if she does transfer the title to me or if she doesn't?

Answer:
Pretty straight forward if she transfers title then it is yours. If she doesn't then you'll need to try and contact the lien holder and try and get it cleared with them. Chances are she no longer owes for it and just never got the lien taken off. You'll probably just have a difficult time for the next 6 months or so after that you will be fine.
