How much is insurance and registration in Alberta?

Reinstating my licence in Alberta( sorry it's long details are necessary)?

  • My Alberta licence was suspended for an oustanding judgement from an accident i had in 2005. I had made an illegal left hand turn and had no insurance. 3 months after the accident i went and got a new licence cause i lost mine in the accident. When i went to the registries i told them that i probably have a few tickets on my record from an accident i just had. The girl said no you have no tickets and i wouldn't argue that. So i got my licence. a few years down the road i bought a truck and registered and insured it with no problems. Until two months ago i went to go renew my registration and they told my my liscence was suspended for an outstanding judgement i had regarding the accident i had with no insurance. So i satified the judgement and am now waiting for the lawyer to send the letter of satisfied judgement to drivers fitness. What i'am wondering is, Will i have to take a drivers test again? and how much will it cost me to reinstate my liscence?

  • Answer:

If your lawyer will have the letter of satisfaction into the license office before the expiry date of your license you will not have to take a driving test. You will have to pay a reinstatement fee
