What/How much should I expect from my motorcycle accident settlement?

  • A female pulled out of a parking lot and hit me. I was sent to the ER by paramedics where they took x-rays, cat scan, and recieved 5 internal stitches and 23 external staples on my right leg and a bruse on my brain. I still have soreness in my hips and still seeing a skin specialist because I might have a skin graph. I know they have accepted that their insurance holder was at fault and they totaled my motorcycle already. My question is what should I expect in an insureance settlement but don't want to be screwed over.

    Oh dude drag it out you can get 10s of thousands of dollars dont settle on there 1st offer get a lawyer seriously. Lucky your alive but even more lucky you have a chance to come into alot of money. Dont sign any papers before the settelment with their insurance company. You have no idea how much money you could get if you do it right. get a lawyer

the only way you won't get what you deserve is with an attorney handling your case.with out an attorney they will not be compelled to offer any thing more than financial loss,as in medical bills and vehicle damage.i have been down this road many times,and the threat of suit is the only thing that will motivate them,as there is no set rule that they have to follow.in other words they don't have to give you anything,unless they are forced to.they may have accepted responsibility for the accident,but that only relates to your financial loss,not any punitive damages or pain and suffering.you are leaving it up to them.big mistake.it is their adjusters job to pay you as little as possible,and you are making his job easy.you need to have a demand based on what you and your lawyer feel is appropriate.
