Can't renew my license in nj?

  • I have a pending case for permanent residency in the US I have a working Permit (I-766) I went to the dmv 2 years ago and got my permit and license, i was able to drive for 6 months and then my license expired in the meantime my working permit had expired and i couldn't go to the dmv to renew my license, i kept driving for like 2 weeks with and expired license and i got stopped twice and 3 tickets were given to me, in one court they suspended my driving privileges. while i waited for the court dates i got my new working permit and went to the dmv and they told me that my info was not going into the system and that i should solve my visa case and that for the moment i couldn't renew my license i thought it was because of the tickets. NOW i have a valid working permit and social security and the suspension time was up to last December. so that means that my privilege shouldn't be suspended i was wondering if i would be able to renew my license. or will they keep telling me that i have to solve my case.
