Do vehicle registration and inspection months need to match?
-
I just got a new registration and plates for my car because I thought my registration had been stolen (turns out I was wrong - oh well!) The old registration was to expire at the end of September and my inspection sticker is valid through October. Now that I have a new registration valid as of July, do I need to get my car inspected right now? Or can I still wait until October to do it? If it matters, the car is registered in Massachusetts.

Answer:
Vehicle registration and inspection months don't need to match. In NY, you don't need to get your car inspected every time the registration expires. You can wait until October. Not sure if the laws are the same in NY and MA though.
