I am 18 can i get a learner's permit?

I am 18 can i get a learner's permit? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^… THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Ok so i live in north carolina amd i am 18 and i know i can drive...i drove before (illegaly) for a while...now that i am 18 i took the computer test for the driving license and i passed with 95% but my parent wont let me take the driving test with their car simply because they think i cant drive....i cant tell them i drove before because they wont buy my car...now they told me to take a learner's permit to show them i can drive...i don't think i can anymore....because i am 18 but if i can get a permit do i have to keep it for over 12 months and only drive with someone that is over 21 that have their licence for 5 years like a normal under aged... or i can i just use the permit for like 30 days to show to my parents that i can drive then take the final licence test ? Now for all the under 18 people reading this question.... do not drive illegally its very freaking dangerous i have put a lot of people in danger.. i was just so stupid... don't think you wont get caught because you will i have at least 4 friends that got caught driving illegally they had to pay up to $500 or up to 100 community service hours what i did was very dumb.. please do not do the same.....
