Can i get my permit like this?

In Florida, can I get my driver's permit 5 days before my 18th birthday and then get my license on my birthday?

• My birthday isn't until January and I haven't been able to get my restricted or anything because of our income. However, my dad is getting his social security exactly 5 days before I turn 18. I have already taken and passed driver's ed (which includes the alcohol and drug class). I would like to get my license as soon as possible so school will be more easier (I only really have 2 classes, but I have to go all day because of lack of transportation) and because I would like to look for a job to help our income. I know that you can get your license when you are 18, but I have hardly any driving experience so I know that I would fail if I were to take it. Theoretically, can I go in to take the written test in order to get my permit before I turn 18 (even if it's 5 days before my birthday) and then go in to take the driving test (if I feel like I have enough experience) on my 18th birthday? I know if your 18 and get your permit, you still have to wait 6 months that's why I am asking. I'm not sure if there is any 'fine print' to these rules or not.

  What has your dad's SS got to do with your driving ? Can you get a DL on a hardship case ? Can your father drive, legally ? Some states you have to "log " in so many hours of driving time before you can get a license.■ This I copied off the web on FL driving rules. "A parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult over 21 years old must certify that the driver has 50 hours driving experience, including 10 hours of night time driving" Do you meet the above requirement ?
