What type of car is this?

What type of things should i look out for when buying a salvaged car?

  • im in the market for a car, and i really dont want to go through dealership, (BIG RIP OFF) only upside to going through dealership for a used car is when its a CERTIFIED used car, but ive worked for dealerships and i just think they rip you off regardless.. anyway, im looking for a honda or chevy most likely like a civic or a malibu, what type of things should i look out for when buying a salvaged car? and in your opinion what car brand is better honda chevy?

  • Answer:

flooding remember Katrina caused over a half of million cars to be flooded look out for redone carpet and if you can look under the carpet to see if its moldy or signs of flooding. A bent frame but this can really be hard to detect you would have to have a mechanic with the proper machine to check this. Obviously transmission motor problems good luck.

So every dealer is an automatic ripoff but SALVAGE cars are not ? LOL Look up, wipe the brains out of the ceiling.

2 of the last 3 cars I bought were salvaged cars. But I can fix the little annoying things that crop up in a salvage car. And as an engineer I can properly evaluate the before picture of the car. If you do not know how to do this stuff, then I suggest you avoid a salvage car. Salvage cars are for mechanically adept people.
