Best Car for Drag Racing?

  • Im looking for a car to use as a daily driver and make into a drag race car as well. Also I live in a cold weather region so rear wheel drive is out. Any Ideas for me? Budget is 14,000, and examples would be awesome. Thanks. Id also like it to be newer (2004 and up) and lower miles (Under 70k)

    mustang t bird camero depends on what you want to put in it. you're not going to want to drive in winter with it hopped up, buy a beater car for that

If it can't be rear wheel drive...you want AWD. FWD "drag" isn't going to work...at least it won't work well. Is a wrx out of the question? If you know what you're doing you can easily have a low 4 second/high 12's cars. People don't believe it...it's not only possible, it's fairly easy. Not for everyone but it seems to be the only year round option for you. Otherwise I'd say get a Pontiac GTO (LS2) and garage it in the winter.

Something in the "funny" category is what i'm thinking. Maybe a camaro or corvette would do the trick. I'm not into drag racing that much, but I have seen some with these types of vehicles.
