Brakes on a 1979 Pontiac LeSabre?

Cars that are similiar to Pontiac Grand Am, Pontiac Bonneville, Buick Century and Buick LeSabre?

  • I recently smashed up my car and I have been looking for a new one, because mine was totaled and is not worth repairing. I had a 2000 Dodge Intrepid, which if you know Dodge Intrepid's they are fairly long cars. My Dad keeps telling me to get a car with a bigger front/or back and keeps recommending a bunch of Buick's and Pontiac's. I have about $4000 to spend on a new(well used) car and therefore the year range is about 1997-2003. I would like to know if there are any cars in my price range that are similiar to what my dad wants me to get(Pontiac's and Buicks) aka something fairly safe and roomy, which I agree with because in my accident I didn't feel a thing. But, yah what are my options?

You tell us. GM only made about 20 versions of every car across all their product lines. A Grand Am (POS, btw...) shares underpinnings with the Chevy Malibu, the Oldsmobile Alero...the Century as well, I believe. The other two you mention...pretty much are clones of the Chevy Monte Carlo, Pontiac Grand Prix, Chevy Lumina, Buick Regal.... You have plenty to choose from.
