Does Kelly Blue Book Price for a used car include sales tax, registration and title fees?

  • I am Kelly Blue Book to estimate how much should I pay for a used car. E.g., I used kbb.com to do an appraisal for a 2010 automatic transmission Nissan Versa with 44K miles on it, and got a price of $9774 from this link: http://www.kbb.com/nissan/versa/2010-nissan-versa/s-sedan-4d/?vehicleid=261601&intent=buy-used&mileage=44000&category=sedan&options=2928280%7ctrue&condition=good&pricetype=private-party I would like to know if the Blue Book Price is all inclusive, or does it exclude the sales tax, registration, title, plus any other fees I may have missed. Note that when I did the appraisal, the blue book asked for my zip code - so theoretically it can factor in the sales tax into calculation of the final price.

    The blue book value is the price of the car only. No taxes, fees, or title costs are included. If you want to estimate the taxes and fees add 10% to the advertised price.

That is value only, not taxes, fees, etc. The reason they ask for the zip code is #1, to target ads for your location and #2 some vehicles are worth a bit more or less in different parts of the country.

no they don't as tax is different in all states, only thing they will give you is destination charges, so when getting the price you will have to figure in tax for the county and state you live in plus title and doc fees ( advertisement fees ) plus registration and some dealers have dealer prep a charge to clean and get ready for you tot ake home ( big rip off ) but they won't drop them either.

KBB prices do NOT include tax, title, tag or any other fees. Nor does it include gas or lunch. As for the minor price difference between zip codes of $9, that's just regional pricing. When you look in the newspaper for grocery store ads, do their prices include tax ?
