How to get rid of a financed car and/or leased car?

  • Either way, I know I'm going to lose money but I rather lose the least. I have a 2009 Honda Fit being financed under my name only for $300 a month. I also have a lease for a 2010 Honda Insight for $580. I have bad credit therefore the terms were higher. I need to get rid of one or the other. There's been a change in my financial situation so now I need to do some adjusting. I could only afford one or the other. Ideally, I would prefer to get rid of both and start fresh. What is my best option?

How the hell did you end up paying $580 on the Insight????? Manufacturer subsidized lease from Honda is $189!!!!! Wow, you got royally screwed. The only way anyone will take that lease off your hands is if you offered like a $5000 cash incentive. You can still at http://www.swapalease.com The payments on the Fit is reasonable so you have to get rid of the Insight. No point in losing tons of money on both cars. This is what happens when financially irresponsible people get the new car bug. They end up screwing themselves again and again. You need to keep that Fit for 20 years or otherwise you will screw up again.

Find someone to take over the leases, or take the loss and take them in early and pay all of the fees and penalties which will be a lot.
