What is a back half car?

I have paid half of my car and they are trying to take it back!!!!!! Dont know what to do. help!?

  • I had agreed to pay $1200 dollars for my cousins 2000 vlk jetta. I was sapose to pay $150-200 depending on weather i had a little more money that month. The car didnt run when I first went to go get it. I had to re-register it ($60) and it coast approx $500 To fix it so I could even move it. I had payed the payments at $150 for almost three months a little under.... was missing maybe $50 because I was short because I had o put alot of money In the car to fix it. My cousin was in afganistan , and had come back. When he came back he wanted ALL the money for the car In a week or he was taking it back!. I had payed half and I couldnt save up or get anymnore money. that had put me wayyyy under anyway. He wants to take the car back now that i cant pay it all at once! And came and took the plates and the cops said he can take the plates and thats it! what should I do??????? so pretty much a verbal agreement was made to pay payments, and now eigther I have all the money or he takes the car back , when i have already paid for half. what can I do?????

You bought a POS VW Jetta AND you broke your agreement... What do you want from us? This is a blessing for you, no disguise necessary.

Don't know what to do. ---- Pay the other half. Or say goodbye to the car.

you didnt actually break your contract..if you were only fifty dollars behind on your payments then should be able to pay the 50 and be sqaure till your next payment is due. even tho you only have a verbal contract in many states a verbal contract is still a legal contract. your going to have to take him to court it sounds like or atleast call his parents .he is family maybe they can talk some sence into him

Not sure, but you can TRY to take him maybe to small claims court, and make your case that you have basically been making payments and for your cousin to cut you some slack, or if he takes the car back to return your payments and/or the money you put in to fix it, but I'm not a lawyer. Good luck...
