My western snow plow wont move?

Snow plow on lifted truck?

• I have 02 Dodge ram 1500 with 7" Western plow, have some engine problems, so Im looking to buy a vehicle to plow with and found 94 Chevy Full size blazer with pro comp 6' lift. I called the shop where I originally got the plow installed and was told it's too high and can't get it lowered enough. NOW, I see trucks lifted at least 4" and plow just fine. Can you put a plow on 6" lifted truck? Any advice will be appreciated; what are some good trucks to plow for around $3k~$4? Thanks for reading.

  I went ahead and bought a 96 superduty(ford). I paid only a little over a thousand dollars for it and it worked out great. And i could have paid less but i really wanted a truck that i had some faith in that it would start every time no matter how cold. As for your truck being too high. Its because the adjustablity on a(mine) plow will be maxed out. To be honest, it wouldn't be that hard to remake the mounts and lower it. But it may be cheaper just to buy a dedicated truck.
