What does it take to run a car dealership?

Can the dealership I bought my car from take my car back? What are my rights?

  • I bought a car for $10,000 in April. I put $7000 cash down and a "friend" offered to put the other $3700 down that was owed for my car the following month. This "friend" of mine was a friend of the dealer I bought my car from. The dealer gave me the car at a significant discount. The problem is my "friend" is now unwilling to pay the rest of the money owed for my car. Since he is friends with the dealer and he hasn't received the rest of the money as promised, the dealer now says I have to pay the full amount for the car. Which totals to about $7700 more all together. My paperwork I signed when I bought the car says only owe 10,000. My question is- Can he take my car back if I refuse to pay the extra 4000? What are my rights?

  • Answer:

My question is- Can he take my car back if I refuse to pay the extra 4000? What are my rights? --- 1. Certainly, they can. You didn't keep your end of the agreement. 2. Uh, if you're not joking, hand over the full agreed upon amount? That would help...
