    I have bought several cars off eBay. But - they were not my daily-drivers. They were all cars for restoration/modification projects, or to be converted to race vehicles. I didn't really care if I got it and the mileage was wrong or there was a dent. I paid a fair price for what I wanted, and got about what I expected. If I was looking for a daily driver, I wouldnt. Not unless I could see, drive and inspect before paying. There are inspection services all over the country that will go check out a car for you. Its usually $50-100 but well worth it if you are buying a car sight-unseen EDIT STOP STOP STOP STOP You are not buying a car off ebay. You are being scammed by another liar, thief and lowlife. There is no car. There is no "Mildred Smith" selling her car for half its Blue Book value. Ebay DOES NOT handle financial transactions They DO NOT use Moneygram or Western Union Ebay IS NOT an esrow service Search Yahoo ANswers for "Ebay" in this section. Look at how many times we have answered this one Its a scam plain and simple

I feel as though there will always be some risk associated with buying things off of ebay; although you can always check the seller's ratings from previous transactions. However, I would just suggest purchasing from more reputable sources to eliminate that risk of fraud all together. If you're looking for a good and cheap used car, I would suggest checking out Carsala.

I would only buy a car from an authorized dealer or a local person on Ebay where you can test drive it and have it inspected. If you can test drive it for 5 days without signing anything that is OK. Is the person you are talking about a seller of a currently listed car? Ask for a copy of the agreement before you look at the car. I don't understand what that is. Is she a dealer or a private party?
